Rocking chairs have been associated with some of the great minds in our history. Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein and John F. Kennedy are but a few that have embraced the effects of gently moving the body allowing the mind to be in the “zone” for great thinking.

I was asked to build this rocking chair for a doctor who when preparing himself for surgery and liked to rock in his chair and think with his hands behind his head arching his back to achievehis mental zone. The backs on most rockers are too high he said. I cut the back slats to give lumbar support and for him, mind and body were perfectly balanced.

My chairs are designed to fit the average person. If you are petite or extra large, adjustments can be made to allow for that perfect fit.
